About the Maintenance department
The purpose of the Maintenance department, part of the Operations division, is to guarantee offshore gangway system availability, reliability, and safety across all our operations. This is accomplished through efficient asset management, skilled professionals, structured processes, and effective teamwork.
Your role as Field Maintenance Electrician
As a Field Maintenance Electrician, you will be a crucial specialist responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical systems of our offshore gangway equipment in the Europe/Africa region. You will plan and perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring the reliability and safety of our electrical assets. Your role involves working on-site at various locations, including vessels and ports, where you will diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently. You will collaborate closely with field control engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to support installations, commissioning, and operational activities. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Team Lead and play a key part in the growth and development of the electrical discipline within the maintenance team, as you will be the first Maintenance Electrician hired. The team currently consists of 5 Maintenance Technicians.
Regular activities
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on offshore electrical systems to improve reliability.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults independently or with other field technicians.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new systems per safety and technical standards.
Plan and coordinate electrical maintenance with teams and other stakeholders for efficient scheduling and execution.
Document maintenance, repairs, and installations for compliance and transparency.
We ask
MBO/HBO degree in Electrical Installation or similar, with 3–5 years’ experience, ideally in field maintenance or offshore work
Skilled in reading electrical schematics and diagrams, and working with electrical power units and tools, with strong safety awareness
Willingness and ability to travel ~50%, including offshore and international assignments
Proactive, independent, enthusiastic and organized in planning and executing maintenance tasks
Tech-savvy with solid computer skills for reporting and planning; fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
