About the Maintenance Team

The Maintenance team is part of the Operations department and is responsible for the regionwide availability and condition of the Ampelmann fleet across Europe and Africa. The Europe & Africa team currently consists of a Team Lead, 5 Maintenance Technicians, and 1 Maintenance Electrician, based in Rotterdam. Besides working closely with your team and maintenance colleagues from other regions, you'll have regular contact with our Field Control Engineers, Project Managers, and Operations Support. In this role, you will report to the Team Lead Field Maintenance.

Your role as Field Maintenance Technician

As Field Maintenance Technician, you maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of Ampelmann systems that make up our fleet. You are responsible for the perfect technical condition of the systems in your region, and you ensure that your work is performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. The maintenance work you carry out is very hands-on and can either be preventive or corrective, depending on the situation, which makes this role diverse and challenging. You will schedule and manage your maintenance projects independently, while keeping all stakeholders involved and informed. This role requires frequent travel, primarily within Europe & Africa, with occasional trips outside your region.

Regular activities

  • Planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, and performing on-site troubleshooting

  • Accurate administration and ordering of parts/third-party services via our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) and toolbox talks

  • Review, update and/or create maintenance manuals

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency

We ask

  • Technical degree (MBO/HBO) and 2-5 years of relevant working experience (in the offshore industry would be a plus)

  • Good technical knowledge: proven experience with mechanics, hydraulics and electronics

  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, proactive, responsible and a strong communicator

  • A flexible mindset: willing to travel regularly in Europe & Africa and working outside office hours

  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)
