About the Asset and Reliability Engineering Team
You will be part of the Maintenance department, within which the Asset and Reliability Engineering team plays a crucial role in keeping the Ampelmann fleet available, reliable and ready for operations and getting the most value out of each asset. The team monitors condition and performance, looks for improvement points, determines and acts as internal client when Production delivers systems to Operations. You will work autonomously, yet the team works closely together, with a strong focus on learning, visibility at the operational site and continuous improvement. The team consists of a Team Lead, 2 Reliability engineers and 4 Asset engineers, including you.
Your role as Jr. Asset Engineer
As Jr. Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for setting standards with respect to performance, operability, maintainability and reliability of the Ampelmann systems. One day you analyse system data, the next you align with technicians, engineers or project teams to solve a complex issue. You work closely with the Innovation, Production, Maintenance and Operations departments, acting as a linking pin between them. This requires you to identify needs at a tactical level while also providing strategic input that impacts the long-term safe, reliable and efficient operation of our assets. This role offers plenty of variety, visible results and room to build your own strengths, whether that is on the technical, analytical or practical side. You will report to the Team Lead Asset & Reliability Engineering.
Regular Activities
Monitor asset condition and performance by tracking system health, identifying potential reliability or safety risks, and acting as Problem Owner for root cause analysis across the fleet.
Initiate, prioritize and implement asset improvements and support new product developments.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders like our Improvements team, Operations Project Managers, and others.
Manage corrective and preventive maintenance programs for your assigned assets and maintain close relationships with asset users to understand and support their needs.
Be well informed of the condition and whereabouts of our assets to be able to attribute to strategic and tactical decisions.
Support spare parts strategy by determining coverage levels in global and local warehouses and monitor industry developments.
We ask
BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or another technical/engineering discipline
0-3 years of relevant work experience
A strong technical affinity with a natural curiosity for how systems and maintenance processes work, combined with a data‑driven mindset
Preferably experience in successful planning, organising and working in multi-disciplinary teams e.g. with regards to change- and stakeholder management
Strong English communication skills
Experience in offshore, asset-related, maintenance or other technical engineering environments is a plus
You get
A great work environment with innovative and change-willing aspirations
High degree of responsibility and room to have significant impact
Monthly gross salary between EUR 3.489 – 4.984 based on your experience
Great secondary benefits (e.g., annual bonus, Working from Home policy, non-contributory pension plan, unlimited vacation days, NS-Business card and more)
Ampelmann Academy for all your personal and professional development needs
