About the Operations Americas (AC) team
The Operations AC team is part of the Operations Department and is divided over 3 locations: Houston (USA), Providence (USA) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The US team currently consists out of a Team Lead Maintenance, 3 Operations Project Managers, 2 Maintenance Technicians, 2 OCC engineers and 1 Team Lead crewing. The team in Brazil consists out of 2 Project Managers, a Maintenance Technician and a Crew Change Coordinator. The team is led from Houston by the Operations Area Manager. As a Junior Operations Project Manager, you will have a high degree of responsibility from day one but will receive the necessary coaching and guidance from more experienced Operations Project Managers. The position is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Your role as Jr. Operations Project Manager
As Jr. Operations Project Manager, you are the internal and external point of contact for projects in your region where an Ampelmann system is deployed offshore. For each project you are responsible for the entire project cycle, from the preparation to close-out phase. Your goal is to finish each project on time, and within scope and budget, resulting in a satisfied client. You do this by optimizing the project, visiting clients, visiting the operation, and executing a flawless project administration. Next to this, you are also responsible for coaching the operators that man the systems offshore.
Regular activities
Managing daily project operations and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of your projects.
Preparing, coordinating, and executing (de)mobilisations of systems, attend offshore trials and perform satisfactory client visits.
Analysing operational challenges, and preparing and executing proposed solutions.
Responsible for setting up a project plan and taking care of all project administration (budgeting, invoicing, and purchasing).
Occasionally getting your hands dirty, e.g. in a coverall on a yard when work on the system in preparation of a project is performed.
We ask
Higher Vocational Education/BSc/MSc degree (any technical study, e.g, Technical Business Administration) and 0-2 years relevant work experience
Excellent English and Portuguese communication skills, both spoken and written
Willingness to travel (30-40% of the work is performed on site)
Affinity with project management
Analytical skills, high degree of responsibility and accountability, and a pro-active attitude
