About the Supply Chain team  

Ampelmann’s Supply Chain team manages the full flow of goods worldwide, ensuring seamless support to our offshore operations. The team oversees procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and global shipping, coordinating every step with precision and reliability. By maintaining endtoend visibility across all processes, the team ensures that materials are available where and when needed, minimizes delays, and proactively prevents operational disruptions. You'll work closely with colleagues with various backgrounds from around the globe, as well as with external stakeholders like freight forwarders and customs brokers. Your work is essential in keeping Ampelmann’s systems running smoothly across global projects, enabling safe and efficient offshore access for clients around the world. 

 

Your role as Logistics Coordinator 

As Logistics Coordinator, you take ownership of end-to-end shipments from our Rotterdam warehouse to our global operations—especially spare parts that keep our Ampelmann systems running. From our location in Rotterdam, you book transports, manage export documentation and declarations, and stay on top of urgent requests with clear, proactive updates to internal stakeholders and transport partners. There's plenty of room to improve how we work and build a smoother logistics flow. In this role, you report directly to the Manager Supply Chain.  

 

Regular activities 

  • End-to-end transport coordination for spare parts shipments at global scale. 

  • Daily contact with freight forwarders and transport partners; bookings and follow-up.

  • Proactively communicate project status updates, delays, and estimated timelines to stakeholders, while effectively managing urgent matters across internal and external teams. 

  • Manage export documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the verification of HS codes, tariff codes, and shipping documents such as CMRs and Bills of Lading (B/L). 

  • Create POs and allocate transport costs to the right projects in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).

 

We ask 

  • MBO+ or higher-level education in relevant field (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport) or equivalent practical training 

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in export/logistics coordination and shipment execution (e.g. Freight Forwarders or similar) 

  • Hands-on skills in export/import documentation and shipment booking (e.g. CMR), accurate administration with ERP systems 

  • Experienced in close coordination with carriers and the shipping market, with a proactive and collaborative mindset 

  • Fluent in English; (Dutch or other European languages are nice to have)
